Tina Lander
born 1981 and grown up in "Baselland".
A lover of Scandinavia and all things old, I am finally, after a detour of almost ten years, an extremely happy student of Archaeology and Scandinavian Philology at the university of Basel.
I began with photography in 2005 when I started to steal Jenny's little Kodak Easyshare and to take a few pictures of my own. For a long while I had mostly plants, insects and birds in front of the lense, until in May of 2008 I also took the step into horse-photography. Horses have always been an interest of mine and when I was six years old, I began with voltige and riding. 1992 came Edi, a Dutch Warmblood gelding, with whom we all have experienced many adventures and, despite his rather advanced age, still do.
In photography, my most loved models are still plants and wild animals, but also cats and of course horses in all shapes and colours.
Jenny Poijo
born 1983 in a small town in the north of Sweden.
Already as a child I fell in love with horses - they were everything I had on my mind. Due to allergies I was never allowed to ride and it was only after I had moved to Switzerland that I could finally begin.
I've been in Switzerland since the summer of 2004. During my last year in Sweden, I did a preparation course for the art school. This was however not the right thing for me and I had the feeling that it was time to try out something new.
Photography is my great love. Horses are of course my favourite models, but also cats, flowers and insects can find themselves in front of my camera. When I have no time to take pictures, I like to read and write. I love experiencing new worlds.
At the moment I work as a "room manager" (read: cleaning woman), but my goal is to finally begin my studies in the autumn of 2010. I wanted to study literature and languages earlier, but my new love is history and I really hope that I can study that.
